  5. Standard Treatment  These tumors are best managed with radiation therapy . Surgery usually has no benefit at this stage.

  10. ‚Ä¢ Trials are examining the effectiveness of chemotherapy
  11.   and/or radiation therapy before surgery. These treatments
  12.   have occasionally converted some patients to an operable
  13.   stage, but it is too soon to know if using this aggressive
  14.   approach will increase the rate of cure.
